A Travel Poem: If I Could Pack My Suitcase
Published September 18, 2009 by:
If I could pack my suitcase and visit another place,
I don’t want to go as fast as they do on The Amazing Race.
If I could pack my suitcase l want to take my time,
I would love to travel leisurely without reason or rhyme.
If I could pack my suitcase and board a big old jet,
I don’t care where it takes me since I’ve not been anywhere yet.
If I could pack my suitcase and visit a foreign land,
I think I would be happy just seeing what I can.
If I could pack my suitcase and leave my troubles in the dust,
I would want to bring my husband along that truly is a must.
If I could pack my suitcase and not think of anything but fun,
I would surely do it today in case tomorrow doesn’t come.
If I could pack my suitcase and all ’round the world I’d roam,
I would be the most happy when I finally got back home.
Places I Already Traveled
First, I will tour you in my place, Camp Phillips, Bukidnon. The home of Pineapple Plantation. The modern community of Camp Phillips is located in Agusan Canyon, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. The climate is relatively cool and moist throughout the year. Del Monte Pinapple Plantation has an area of 90 sq km, is one of the largest in the world. Just an hour drive from Cagayan de Oro is Camp Phillips. You will be able to see the big pineapple statue upon entering the community and taste the delicious pineapples. The people are very friendly and accommodating. You can see all houses are the same but only differ in colors. Del Monte Company provides free house and lot for those who are working in the company with free electricity and water. Such a good privilege that one could offer.
There is a clubhouse and a golf course within the plantation. Where golfers and ripening pineapples are found. Established in 1928, the famous Del Monte Golf Course’s first nine holes were designed by Peter Crawford while the second nine by Celestino Tugot.
In Camp Philips Bukidnon where all employees of Del Monte is presently residing with a free consumption of water and electricity. Also the house is for free all you have to do is to maintain cleanliness of the house and the surroundings.
It’s sea like because all you can see is pineapples… vast of pineapple! Just visit there for you to see it!! Many tourist are going out of their cars just to take pictures with a pineapples as a background!

Located in the wealthy residential suburb of Beverly Hills about 6 km north of downtown Cebu is an enormous Taoist Temple. It was built by Cebu’s substantial Chinese community (the Chinese make up about 15% of Cebu’s population).
The temple is the a center of worship for Taoism, the religion which follows the teachings of the ancient Chinese philosopher, Lao Tze. You can see Taoist devotees following their rituals on Wednesdays and Sundays, as they climb the 99 steps of the temple to light joss sticks and have their fortunes read by the monks. The temple has an elevation of 300 meters above sea level, and if you climb the 99 steps to the entrance, you will be rewarded with a good view of Cebu City and in the distance Mactan and Bohol islands. Nice sunset views too.
PLACES I WANT TO TRAVEL SOMEDAY
I will surely first visit the wonders of our very own Philippines. It’s full of wonderful natural resources. Here is my top list of places that soon I will gonna visit.
The Chocolate Hills is an unusual geological formation in Bohol, Philippines. It is composed of around 1,268 perfectly cone-shaped hills of about the same size, spread over an area of more than 50 square kilometres (20 sq mi). They are covered in green grass that turns brown during the dry season, hence the name.
The Chocolate Hills is a famous tourist attraction of Bohol. It is featured in the provincial flag and seal to symbolize the abundance of natural attraction in the province. It is in the Philippine Tourism Authority’s list of tourist destinations in the Philippines; it has been declared the country’s 3rd National Geological Monument and proposed for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
It’s a paradise for the beach lover, the diver and the golfer.
The Rice Terraces of Banaue are perhaps the most well know attraction in the Philippines, and no list of the Seven Wonders of the Philippines would be complete without them.. Located in central Luzon, they have been carved by local Ifugao people over the last 3,000 thousand years. When you visit, you can see terraces still being built today. The locals often describe the terraces as the largest man made structure created without forced labor. If each terrace were laid end to end, they would stretch almost 14,000 miles. They were declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1995 and placed on the endangered list in 2001.
The Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park is located about 50 km north of the city of Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines. It features a limestone karst mountain landscape with an 8.2 km. navigable underground river. A distinguishing feature of the river is that it winds through a cave before flowing directly into the South China Sea. It includes major formations of stalactites and stalagmites, and several large chambers. The lower portion of the river is subject to tidal influences. The underground river is reputed to be the world’s longest. At the mouth of the cave, a clear lagoon is framed by ancient trees growing right to the water’s edge. Monkeys, large monitor lizards, and squirrels find their niche on the beach near the cave.
White Beach , Boracay’s biggest tourist attraction, stretches some four kilometers on the western side of the island, mostly within the barangay of Balabag. It is largely because of the pristine, white powdery sand of White Beach and the crystal-clear blue water of the surrounding sea that Boracay is often called “the world’s most beautiful tropical island.”
Then I will not miss the Wonders of the World
Foreign country that is top one on my soon to visit list is the…..
